I just completed a travel guide to the best landscape photography locations in Southern California, to be available in September 2015.
The extensive dune field near Stovepipe Wells is by far the most heavily visited sand dune complex within Death Valley National Park, but even here you can find great views within a few short steps of the parking lot.
I love these images...It looks like Corralejo Sand Dunes in Fuerteventura, Canary Island...
